BLUECHIP opens luxury surf community in the Mentawais
BLUECHIP is proud to unveil its latest project: an exclusive 2.7-hectare beachfront community in the Mentawai Islands, created for those who want extraordinary surf, considered luxury and one of the world’s most remarkable natural environments on their doorstep.
Set directly on the ocean with access to some of the world’s most celebrated waves, the community combines private ownership with the service and experience of a world-class surf retreat.

Residences will be crafted using sustainably sourced hardwoods and natural materials, with expansive decks and open living spaces designed around the surrounding ocean and landscape.
Owners will also have the opportunity to make their residences available to a carefully selected group of guests when they are not in residence. Rather than operating as a conventional rental resort, potential guests will be personally introduced and vetted, helping preserve the privacy, character and tranquility of the community.
Surf Without Compromise
Members will have access to dedicated boats and experienced local surf guides, allowing them to reach the best waves for the conditions each day without the constraints of traditional resort schedules.
An on-site Quiver Workshop will provide surfboard storage, repairs and maintenance, alongside support for the community’s watercraft — leaving members free to concentrate on what brought them to Mentawai in the first place: surfing.
Built With Mentawai, Not Simply In It
Sustainability and local involvement are fundamental to the project.
BLUECHIP is working with experienced local partners on project management and construction, while creating employment, developing skills and building long-term relationships with businesses and communities in the Mentawai Islands.
The development will incorporate responsible infrastructure including solar power and rainwater harvesting, with careful consideration given to its footprint and the extraordinary environment surrounding it.
As Indonesia continues its long-term economic development, the Mentawai Islands are also becoming increasingly accessible to international visitors. Yet the qualities that make this part of the world exceptional — pristine nature, remarkable surf and a genuine sense of remoteness — remain at the heart of the project.
